Pakistan as Usual

Today must be another day that ends with "-y."

Which means that once again, the streets of Pakistan are filled with piles of angry eyebrows.

With repetition like this, you'd think the news services would be bored with it by now...

An activist of the Pakistani fundamentalist Islamic party Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) holds a burning US flag during a protest against an alleged US employee in Karachi on February 11, 2011. Pakistani police rejected the self-defence claim of a US official who shot two men in broad daylight as a court extended his remand, pending a legal battle over diplomatic immunity. In a move likely to further inflame ties with Washington, which says their man has diplomatic immunity and should be released immediately, a court in the eastern city of Lahore ordered Raymond Davis to be held in prison for 14 days.
