Soviet Board of People's Automobile Production?

Congress passed the bailout of the Big Three?

Why do we even bother doing anything as a nation any more, if there's no risk of failure?

I've got a brilliant idea—Let's just let the Federal government build cars. After all, who knows what it is that consumers want better than politicians—The same type of people that can't seem to figure out whether they smoke or not.

Cars are built by fast decisions and smart spending—Which is exactly why I look to D.C. for answers.

(Not that I'm rolling my eyes over here or anything.)

I just don't understand this?

What was the point? Ford even said that they really didn't need the money but as long as the feds were handing it out it would be nice to have. Thus, they got their money, eh?

If they did this right, they would have used the money to buy every american a new car. That would have kept the companies in business and the workers continually working. But.. no. the real plan is to nationalize everything and turn this nation toward socialism.
