Idiocy on Film

I'm not even going to give this a chance. We've had nothing but post-modern whinging on the silver screen for the past 15 years, and the world has gotten not a whit more peaceful.

Israeli actors act during the filming of an Israeli movie in Tel Aviv April 25, 2007. A Palestinian suicide bomber is the unlikely star of a new Israeli film billed by its director as an effort to destroy prejudices that fuel conflict in the Middle East. Picture taken April 25, 2007. By the way, if the director were so interested in fighting "prejudice," why isn't he filming inside the Gaza Strip? Wouldn't that do more to "break down" the barriers (or whatever pablum the Left is using these days) than filming in the completely safe Tel Aviv?

Hmm.. another Cannes Film Award Winner I imagine.

Have you noticed, as I am sure you have Brian as you are such a smarty, that American films are "it" for the global movie industry. You never hear of a French or Russian or Saudi film making kazillions of dollars globally like our Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, or... heh.. whatever film you can name. Our films circle the globe in film and dvd. Rarely ever see a foreign film making a global statement/impact.
