Just saw the headline come across Editor and Publisher, in which Reuters' news pictures editor for North America, Gary Hershorn, solemnly declares to NPR that Adnan Hajj was "trying to take a picture and make it better rather than trying to take a picture and make a statement."
Sure, we understand. Adnan wasn't trying to make a "statement." He was trying to make the picture better.
