Newsworthy.

Pictured here, courtesy Associated Press stringer (with my apologies to the AP legal department in advance) Hatem Moussa, are two Palestinians staging a "reenactment" of some scene or another, and twenty one (21!) photographers, including Mr. Moussa himself, bringing said scene to us as if it were news.

Given that we're now inflating the importance of nonevents in the Palestinian terrortories by a factor of 21 to 1, need I ask our editorial desks worldwide if there is really nothing else going on in the world that requires photographic attention right now?

At least we can be thankful that one of the photographers present was mindful enough to illustrate the overemployment of the news industry in the Gaza Strip for us.

Cameramen and photographers surround two Palestinians participating in a reenactment of an Israeli strike during a performance organized by Hamas, marking the second anniversary of the Israel-Gaza war, in Jebaliya, northern Gaza strip, Thursday, Jan. 6, 2010. The three-week offensive dramatically reduced the number of rockets hitting Israel, but devastated the densely populated and impoverished Palestinian territory and drew international criticism.(AP Photo/Hatem Moussa)

An aside to the AP legal department - I am using this photograph under the presumption that its composition is newsworthy. If you feel otherwise, please don't hesitate to contact me directly, and I will ensure that it is resolved to your satisfaction. Otherwise, I am sure you will find that I have been abiding by your terms most faithfully in every way.

Update: Many thanks to the all-powerful Elder of Ziyon for the link!

Update x2: I would say that great minds think alike, but Carl in Jerusalem is the only great mind amongst us.

Update x3: Thanks also to Brabosh for their excellent snark!

Hey, in case no one else is mentioning it, I'm really liking the re-addition of photos to your blog.  I was away for a while so didn't read it if you discussesd the change.  But if it's under discussion, put me down as an avid supporter of the change.
