The Ghost of Snapped Shot

Or, welcome to my low-maintenance heck.

Can you see me now?

I really like this shot, taken by AFP stringer Ed Jones. Attempted censorship is always annoying, but in this particular alignment, it becomes a parody of such extreme proportions that you just have to sit back and laugh. Well done for highlighting this particular phenomenon in such a humorous way, Ed!

A security guard attempts to restrict a photographer from taking photos of a protest calling for the release of detained Thai human rights activist Somyot Pruksakasemsuk, outside the Thai consulate in Hong Kong on June 29, 2011. Thai human-rights activist and journalist Somyot Pruksakasemsuk, was arrested in Thailand on April 30 on charges of 'lese majeste', or the crime of insulting the king. Yeah, that's probably all I'm going to have for today -- I guess I'm not ready to jump back into everything here quite yet. My motivation levels are flagging pretty hard, so who knows when/if I'll get back on top of writing here - or anywhere else, for that matter. Gimme a cup of whatever this guy's having, on the double!

PS: It figures that Chavez ended up having communist health problems the week I'm offline. What a crock! I didn't even get a chance to pull out Photoshop before he declared himself healed, so I missed out on generating all kinds of awesome parodies to celebrate his apparent demise. Shucks!

PPS: Chinasmack brings on another funny that Snapped Shot would've latched on to for a good Photoshop or two, if this was still our prime, and naturally it goes viral. But as all two of you know, I stink on ice now, so forget it. There's absolutely no way in heck you would've gotten any quality content out of this depressing husk of a blog, so whatever.

PPPS: Robert Stacy McCain is still doing an amazing job of doing that which he does so well -- I'd point out how awesome he is, but (a) I've already done that, and (b) it's not like he acknowledged that I existed the last time I tried sending tons of links his way, so why should I even bother?

Anyone else out there got a bad case of the "meh's?"
