A crackpot researcher at the University of Alberta has discovered that, shock upon shocks, children's television programming includes questionable political themes that don't "seem constructive for youngsters."
Questionable themes, huh?
Is she talking about Nickelodeon's radical leftist news reporter, Linda Ellerbee? Nope.
What about that dastardly Sesame Street, which has (admittedly) pushed the progressive boundaries for 40 years now? Yeah, right.
No, none of these are a problem. It seems that political themes only become "questionable" to our Higher-Education Nitwit when they are conservative in nature:
"While the show conveys a number of positive political values such as tolerance, listening, communicating with others and contributing to the community [ed: All fairly leftist in nature, no?], it also represents a conservative political ideology that punishes individual initiative, opposes critique and change, and relegates females to supportive roles," said Wilton, an assistant professor in the Department of Social Sciences at Augustana Campus.
Conservatism punishes individual initiative? Gee, all these years I've been alive under the impression that it was regressive tax policies and thieving redistributionists that did that...
Just think, folks: It's morons like Shauna Wilton that skew the stats in order to make University students dumber on the way out than they were coming in. And this is the kind of idiotic pap that your tuition payments fund.
Maybe it's time we start to think about starving the parasites that call themselves "Universities" these days?
