Of course, my mortal enemies are never ones to allow the fact that there is no scandal to stop them from issuing their sadly pathetic SCANDAL! SCANDAL! SCANDAL!!! narrative.
The lede, which combined with the title, opens up the dark demons of speculation:
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin remained in the dark while her husband repeatedly asked top state officials to help get his former brother-in-law kicked off the state police force, Palin's husband and top aides said in affidavits provided to The Associated Press.
The affidavits filed with investigators late Wednesday will probably help Palin's defense that the firing was not a tit-for-tat, but they also portray her as uninvolved while her husband met repeatedly with her aides about family affairs. That could provide fodder for her political opponents.
I thought the media hawks were telling us that it was Gov Palin that used her office and position illegally to get a person fired for no reason and only because she felt he was a bad husband?
didn't they hound her and the Alaskans about how she acted? And tied that to her firing of library books and the banning of a librarian?
Or was that the skinning of a librarian while hunting? I am so confused now.
