Wow. What can I say. Even with Gov Palin on the ticket, I am finding it harder and harder to put my vote for McCain.

Reading this bit of news from Digger really makes me wonder if we really CAN vote for McCain or Obama? I mean, what are our choices?

Obama = Global Warming Tax, Socialism, Marxism, Nationalized Industries, Disproportionate Taxes, Tax For Global Poverty

McCain = Global Warming Tax, Nationalized Industries, Amnesty For Illegals, Campaign Finance, Democrat Educational Reforms, Amnesty for Terrorists

And these are just the top of my head. And what makes one better than the other? But then McCain makes another campaign stop and adds fuel to the fire.

At a Scranton, Pennsylvania stop on Monday at an "Irish-American Town Hall", John McCain told an audience of mostly "Irish-Americans" that there are over 50,000 Irish illegal aliens in America and that they should be given an amnesty and put on a "pathway to citizenship".

McCain said there were "50,000 Irish men and women in this country illegally who want to become citizens'' and that "we have to give them a path to citizenship."

... a point McCain has been making of late in ads playing on Spanish-language radio stations in key states, but by and large eschewed before non-Hispanic audiences.

"This nation is all the stronger -- this nation is stronger, this nation is stronger -- for the infusion of fresh blood and vitality that has come to this nation wave after wave: Irish, Italian, Poles, everybody who's come to this nation has enriched our nation, including our Hispanic citizenry. OK? That's what America's all about."

I guess he didn't get the message that he said he got from the AMERICAN people. The same people who told Congress that amnesty, or any program to benefit illegals, was wholly unconstitutional in their eyes. Did McCain lie to us when he told us he would not pursue amnesty again? Well, he sure has been spreading that message around that he really, really, really wants amnesty.

This is worse than voting for the lesser of two evils. Both are the worst of all possible choices. Voting for one changes this country's whole political system and will cause our nation to become just another failed social experiment. Voting for the other ... will.... cause the exact same problems. The only real difference between these two candidates is HOW they will get us to the same disastrous end.

In another piece in the Boston Globe on the event, it was noted that McCain had "immigration activists" and pro illegal alien groups at the event, but shunned Republican congressional candidate Lou Barletta who was right down the road in Hazleton, Pennsylvania.

... no trace of Barletta's candidacy was evident during McCain's stop at Scranton's Masonic Temple. Instead the audience at theatre heard from a New York bar owner who introduced himself proudly as an "immigration activist" and paid tribute to McCain as a champion of more liberal laws that he said would aid future immigration from Ireland.

Digger my man. Digger also found an interview that McCain did for Univision (another reason to despise him). In his interview, he again pledges to get the 10-12 million illegals onto an amnesty program as soon as possible.

Ramos: Senator, the last time we talk, you told us that it would take a year or two to secure the border, and then you said we can address the other part of it. Would that include massive legalization for millions of undocumented immigrants in this country?

McCain: I think it means that we go through a step by step process of allowing people to apply and achieve citizenship in this country, of course. But, I want to point out again; it's a little more complicated.

Ramos: It goes against the platform of your party, by the way, because they are against the legalization of millions of undocumented immigrants.

McCain: My position is very clear, and that was part of our proposal, that I took up twice. By the way, Senator Obama tried to kill it, because he proposed an amendment that would have done away with any temporary worker program. So, there is a huge difference there. So, what we need to do is take the two million according to (Michael) Chertoff, that have broken laws in our country, and deport or imprison them. They are law breakers. Other people who have come here and have been here for a period of time and are law abiding citizens and are willing to go through a certain process, of course, there are not twelve million pairs of handcuffs in America.

McCain: So, we can together, republicans and democrats, work out this issue, provide a path to citizenship,...

He claims that he would deport those illegals who broke laws, but then turns around and says he would give amnesty to those illegals who are hard workers. HELLO?!?? IDIOT ALERT!! If they are in our country by even an inch, they have broken laws. Even if they have created a family here, they have broken federal laws. They are FELONS!!

He then claims that he is more illegal-friendly than Obama. How nice of him. Hey, what is next, candidates showing who is more communist-friendly? I don't care if Obama supports amnesty, McCain as a Republican should not. That should be his platform.... NO AMNESTY!! Defend the laws of America, not the interests of other countries.

And, yeah, you guessed it. McCain was not done with the promises.

Ramos: Senator Barack Obama told us in an interview that he would present a comprehensive immigration reform to congress during the first year. Could you match that?

McCain: Sure, I would do it in the first day, but I was the one who led, I was the one who led with Senator (Ted) Kennedy, a great political risk to myself. Senator Obama tried to kill it, because he was doing what the unions wanted. The unions in America do not want a temporary worker program, so Senator Obama came to the floor and had an amendment that would have basically killed immigration reform, because it was a fragile coalition between republicans and democrats. So, don't let Senator Obama get away with saying that he supports comprehensive reform, when he tried to kill it.

These illegal aliens are "law abiding citizens", "God's children", "I would do it in the first day"... out of the mouth of McCain... a few days ago.

But you know what... I'm sure Sarah Palin will change his mind right? Right?

Yeah, once again, we are left hoping that Palin becomes president before McCain can do massive damage to this nation. He comes to this campaign as a man who will defend this nation from terror and invasion. Meanwhile, McCain is eager to let in as many people as want and then give them citizenship. There is a reason for limited immigration. Massive influx of people leads to unemployment, massive expansion of welfare, increases in crime and cross-border crime among many reasons.

Do we really want to compound the problem we are facing now by allowing more of the same in the future?
