Your Mission: Identify this Terrorist

It doesn't happen very often, but I just ran across a familiar face in that last story.

Look at the guy in the background, black shirt, white turtleneck, and machine gun.

I've seen this guy before, in another recent story. He seems to be connected to Al-Aqsa Martyr's Brigade. Can anyone identify him? Reporters don't seem to have any problems finding him, and if he's this obvious a match to me, I can't imagine that the IDF would have any problems finding him.

Front, center, with headband.

Keyboard Commandos, this one's for you!

Update: Reader forest points out that this thug was spotlighted at IsraellyCool, from a photo from what appears to be the same rally that my second picture came from. Who is this guy, and why is he so prominent over there? Are there any other familiar faces in the crowds?Update 6 Mar 2007: Just ran across a new shot of this scene, courtesy MaanImages.

The spokesman for the Fatah-affiliated Al-Aqsa Brigades in the West Bank city of Nablus, Mahdi Abu Ghazaleh, shows the pistols found on the French diplomatic staff, 23 January 2007. Three French nationals, on a diplomatic mission in Nablus, were briefly kidnapped by the Al-Aqsa Brigades on Tuesday, who mistook them for undercover Israeli soldiers. (MaanImages/Rami Swidan)

Brian,

Thanks for finding the Israellycool bit.

This guy sure isn't afraid of the camera, but the white dickey he wears does nothing for his tough-guy image!

I'll bet the local media suppliers know him well.
