An Obviously Last Resort

I can't imagine why this resort, located in the People's Peace-loving Paradise of "Palestine," would possibly be vacant. Not that it matters, it's totally been "b0mb0red" by Hamas.

A Palestinian man inspects the damage to a vacant resort after it was blown up in Gaza January 23, 2007. Masked Palestinian gunmen blew up a vacant resort in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, claiming they belonged to al Qaeda and that the holiday complex is owned by Fatah kingpin Mohammed Dahlan, its manager said. More photos of this oddly vacant resort follow the break!
The shattered windows of an empty resort are seen following an explosion at the hotel in the northern Gaza Strip, Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007. Dozens of gunmen, claiming to be members of al-Qaida, stormed the resort and blew up the reception area. The attackers said they were sending a message to a close ally of President Mahmoud Abbas, Mohammed Dahlan. Officials said there were no injuries and they were investigating the Qaida claim. Security officials have discounted such claims in the past. (AP Photo/Hatem Moussa)

That last one was actually a very beautifully composed picture. My hat's off to Mr. Salem for his excellent work!
