Pervez Musharraf has revealed that Dick "
Not Fitzmas" Armitage warned Pakistan to
play nice or be nuked to the stone age. (Oops, sorry for the broken link!)
Works for me.
First and foremost, you were
told that you would be bombed, and you were told that through diplomatic channels.
Would you be happier if we pulled the trigger first next time? I sure would, as it would've saved us from
five years of the most incessant whining imaginable from our own
homegrown traitors.
Secondly, and this is what is such a hoot, he's chosen C
BS (of
Rathergate fame) to broadcast this
interview self-serving whine. The same CBS that
tossed loving softballs at that peace-loving nuclear madman President Adhma-whatever of Iran?
Yeah, I'm sure 60 Minutes was
real critical with Musharraf. He probably had to hide out in the green room for hours before they were able to get him out and in front of the camera.
Yeesh. From the article,
Musharraf, in an interview with CBS news magazine show "60 Minutes" that will air Sunday, said the threat came from Assistant Secretary of State Richard Armitage and was given to Musharraf's intelligence director.
"The intelligence director told me that (Armitage) said, 'Be prepared to be bombed. Be prepared to go back to the Stone Age,"' Musharraf said.
"I think it was a very rude remark."
I'm sure he shared a tissue with
Katie "Nosedive" Couric.
UPDATE 15:24 EST: LGF
reports on this story far more succinctly than I did. Couldn't have said it better myself, Charles!
